SAN BENITO, TX— Antonia Hernandez, 101, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Retama Manor Nursing Center in Harlingen. She was a devoted catholic.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mauricio Hernandez; her daughters, Andrea Garza and Celia Barrientos; and her parents, Pedro and Felicia Lopez.
Antonia is survived by her three sons, Emilio Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez, and Mauricio Hernandez; her granddaughter, Cynthia Garza; her 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the holy rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral procession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. for a 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jesus, Mauricio, Moses, Cynthia, Gloria, and Emilio.
