The 14-year-old Miller Jordan Middle School student tragically killed in a car crash Saturday was identified as Pedro “Peter” Puga of San Benito.
Puga reportedly succumbed to injuries sustained at a Brownsville hospital on Saturday following a fatal wreck. He was traveling in an SUV, reportedly driven by another teenager and carrying an undisclosed number of occupants.
Authorities are pending the results of an investigation, headed by the Brownsville Police Department, in hopes of determining the cause of the accident, of which the SUV was the sole vehicle involved. It was further reported that charges could be filed pending the results of the investigation.
