Jose Zamora Huerta, Jr., owner of the property on 867 Line 17 Rd., confirmed minutes ago that Julian Huerta, a candidate for the Place 7 post on the San Benito CISD School Board, does not owe the school and county taxes on his property.

The aforementioned property listed by Julian Huerta was reported as being behind on school and county taxes. While correct, Jose Zamora Huerta, Jr. verified via telephone conversation late today that Julian Huerta merely rents out of the location and does not owe the taxes.

The school district did confirm that the taxes were owed by a Jose Zamora Huerta, Jr., and while the names are similar, it was verified that Julian Huerta is not responsible for said taxes. However, the candidate Julian Huerta did list the address when he filed for his candidacy at the school district administration building.
