city logoThe water tower on Williams Road in San Benito is facing a makeover.

As previously reported by the News, the water tower is to be repainted and will feature a new and larger extended Greyhound with a gold background on one side and the words “San Benito” and “The Resaca City” on the other.

“We had communicated with the school district on what was going to be on there, and that’s what they agreed upon as well. It was kind of a mutual understanding,” said San Benito Mayor Jack Garcia. “(The logos) are going to be bigger than they were before. What I saw was a bigger version of what was there previously.”

The Resaca City logo is being designed by Victor Gutierrez, an engineer contracted with the City of San Benito.

I hope it is a design of a real looking greyhound and not the ugly looking dog they now call a greyhound. Even a mad greyhound doesn’t look like that ugly looking logo they now use.
