When most people look at a used envelope, they think it is trash.
Gary Bonnell sees a possible treasure chest.
Since 2005, 70 year old Bonnell has been collecting stamps. “I got invited to the Magic Valley Stamp Club in 2005, bought some stamps and have been doing it ever since,” Bonnell said.
Originally from Battle Creek, Mich., Bonnell and his wife have been traveling south for the winter every year for the past 16 years. “I love the area; I love the multiculturalism,” said Bonnell. “We come down for five months. My sister is a missionary down here so we have family around.”
When they come down, the Bonnells take up residence at Fun N Sun RV Park in San Benito. “It’s a big park with lots of activities. If you’re bored at Fun N Sun, there’s something wrong with you.”
