UTPA to close campus Friday, Feb. 4

UTPA logoThe University of Texas Pan American is officially closing the Edinburg campus and all other facilities throughout the Valley as of 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, to ensure the safety of its students, faculty and staff during this inclement weather. The University will remain closed tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 4.

During this time period, only a skeleton crew will be working to ensure the safety of the campus.

We will, however, remain open for dining for students in residence halls and for the women’s and men’s basketball games tonight.

As a reminder, classes after 5 p.m. Thursday are canceled.

All classes on Friday, Feb. 4, are canceled as well.

Events and other activities scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5, and Sunday, Feb. 6, will still take place as scheduled.

Classes will resume Monday, Feb. 7, at their regularly scheduled times.

UTPA urges all of its students, faculty and staff to be safe if they have to travel during this time. And don’t forget to bundle up during this extremely cold weather.
