San Benito, TX – Mary G. Ramos, 91, of San Benito, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She was a community leader and helped numerous families during her years of working with Cameron County Head Start Program.
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Celia Huerta and Catalina Delgado; her husband, Domingo Ramos; and one son, Domingo Ramos, Jr.
She is survived by her three children: Julia V. (Richard) Perales, Carlos D. (Erolinda) Ramos, and Patsy (Chris) Ramos; six grandchildren: Gina, Marsha, Valarie, Angela, Richard Michael, and Marivic; seven great-grandchildren, many spiritual children, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held today, January 28, 2011 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal service will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
