Due to the recent alliance between the United, Golden and Northern baseball leagues, it has been decided that all Winter League games will be played in Arizona, it was announced by United League Baseball President Byron Pierce.

Earlier, the ULB had planned on having a four-team league, Harlingen, Brownsville, Edinburg and Laredo, with all games to be played at Harlingen Field, beginning in the middle of January.

Pierce said that the Arizona Winter League, operated by the Golden Baseball League, will be starting its fifth season in late January and is very capable of continuing with that operation.

He said that players who had signed up to play in the ULB will be assigned to clubs in the Arizona Winter League.
