BROWNSVILLE – A group of nine and 10 year olds from San Benito are on their way Saturday to play in the league championship in Brownsville in their “Super Bowl” at Sams Stadium. Rolling into the game with a single loss on the season they are excited about getting a chance to play against the Brownsville Hurricanes with the championship on the line.
The Tigers were invited to join the Brownsville tackle football league just a few short years ago and have quickly moved up the ranks as one of the better teams. Last season this group finished in the middle of the pack but they have turned it up to a new level with this year’s team beginning with the way the defense has controlled the games.
