Lady ’Hounds run through three in a row

This year’s San Benito Lady ’Hound basketball team continues to define itself as a season built around defense.

This past weekend in McAllen at the Annual Border Bash the team used that defense to take down their final two opponents and bring home a trophy as they beat Los Fresnos and St. Joe on Saturday.

In the Los Fresnos game the team came out and played outstanding defense as they raced to a comfortable lead. The Lady Falcons had a size advantage inside but the Lady ’Hounds took away that with stout play both inside and out.

“We really put pressure on their guards,” said Head Coach Clarisse Arredondo “then our inside players stepped up and played very well.”
