Got a chance to take in a few basketball games this week and intend on sitting court-side for a bunch over the weekend. Basketball season has a special place in my heart with some truly great memories not only as a member of the media but as a player and a coach. Lucky, lucky, lucky is all I can say about the experiences I have when it comes to this sport.
While getting into basketball season let me first take a short stop and say that as the football season came to an end in the valley here those Harlingen Cardinals sure put on a heck of a show in their final battle, ending where all of the other teams seem to finish with a third round knockout.
They were oh so close though and that’s where I’m looking this week in what I’ve learned about the teams that make it to that rare spot of postseason in the final game.
