SAN BENITO, TX—Tomas Z. Padilla, 67, of San Benito passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Harlingen Medical Center.
Tomas was a life resident of San Benito and owned and operated Padilla Construction for over 40 years. He retired in 2000.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Manuela Z. Padilla; a niece, Christina Robles; adoptive son, Martin Garcia; and brother-in-law, Jesus Robles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Silva Padilla; his two sons, Tomas (Araceli) Padilla, Jr. and Tomas Humberto Padilla; seven daughters, Ruth (Juan) Aguirre, Ruby (Kendrick) Glaze, Pearl (Jesus) Sanchez, Roxanna Castillo, Francisca Padilla, Beatriz Padilla, and Maricela Padilla; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymundo (Alicia) Padilla; one sister, Francisca Robles; and daughter-in-law, Leticia Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
A chapel service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tomas Padilla III, Jesse Sanchez, Juan Aguirre, Kendrick Glaze, Martin Padilla, and Ramon Padilla.
