DONNA – An 11-0 run out of the gate and the San Benito Greyhound 2010 basketball season was off and running. The ’Hounds took to the road last week and ran past Donna in a 68-40 season opening win.

Eleven players scored for the ’Hounds as they led from the opening points to the final buzzer. Anthony Moreno and Joshua Lopez paced the team with Moreno scoring eight and Lopez seven in the first frame that had San Benito up 17-10. In the second quarter Hugo Ramos poured in eight of his game high 16 as San Benito built a 30-20 lead heading into the half.

Donna had made just six field goals in the first half as the defense shut them down on nearly every level.
